Deputy Development Management Manager (DDM118)

Grade K (SCP 36 - 40): £47,181 – £51,356 per annum (pay award pending)

Contract Type: Permanent, 37 per week

About The Role

We are seeking a Deputy Development Manager to join our established and supportive Development Management Service, working across Stafford Borough Council. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the ongoing development of our service, supporting managers and leaders across the local authority. You’ll be at the heart of a varied and rewarding workload, helping to deliver high‑quality services to our communities.

You will be contributing to an ambitious agenda as we support both councils through the evolving local government landscape.

About You

You will be:

  • Qualified to Degree Level or above in relevant subject such as Law, Surveying etc. and a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute
  • Experienced in Development Management working across a broad range of Development matters and ideally with some experience in Planning Enforcement.
  • Confident operating in a public sector or similarly complex environment
  • Collaborative, professional and committed to delivering high‑quality services with a focus on performance management and service improvement.
