As Deputy Director of Delivery
You will lead transformation activity across the Transforming and Connecting Care (TCC) programme, working with architects, engineers, clinicians, product teams and policy colleagues to address complex technology and data challenges.
TCC aims to improve the sharing of health and care information through the development of a Single Patient Record, enabling secure access to patient records across organisational boundaries. The programme will support faster, safer and more integrated care for patients and clinicians.
Reporting to the Programme Director
- Translate strategic objectives into delivery plans, operating models, adoption approaches and measurable outcomes.
- Provide leadership across a complex portfolio, ensuring alignment between policy, operational, clinical, digital and delivery workstreams.
Working with national, regional and local stakeholders
- Drive organisational change, implementation and benefits realisation, ensuring transformation activity delivers sustainable improvements across the health and care system.
- This role requires an experienced leader able to operate effectively in a complex, high-profile and politically sensitive environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, coordination and delivery of transformation activity across the TCC programme, ensuring that strategic objectives are translated into practical implementation approaches and sustainable operational change.
- Develop and oversee transformation plans, operating models, adoption strategies and benefits realisation frameworks that support delivery of programme outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders, clinicians, patients, the public, operational teams, regions, suppliers and delivery partners to secure engagement and alignment across the programme.
- Identify and manage interdependencies across workstreams, ensuring that transformation activities are coordinated and delivered effectively.
- Provide leadership and direction to multidisciplinary teams, creating an environment that supports collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Support programme governance and assurance arrangements, providing clear reporting, analysis and recommendations to enable informed decision-making.
- Represent the programme at senior forums and contribute to the successful delivery of TCC objectives through effective transformation leadership, stakeholder engagement and implementation support.
