About the Role
We are now looking for a Deputy Director of Strategic Communication and Engagement to lead our communications, engagement and external affairs activity at a pivotal time for the organisation. This is a highly influential leadership role, responsible for shaping how we engage with customers, stakeholders, partners and colleagues, ensuring that insight and evidence are at the heart of everything we do.

You will lead the development of a joined-up approach to customer engagement, external affairs and communications, helping to build understanding of HM Land Registry's priorities, strengthen our reputation, build our customer partnerships, and support the delivery of our strategic ambitions. As Head of Profession for Government Communications, you will also champion professional excellence and communications capability across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of a joined-up approach to customer engagement, external affairs and communications.
- Build understanding of HM Land Registry's priorities, strengthen our reputation, build our customer partnerships.
- Support the delivery of our strategic ambitions.
- Champion professional excellence and communications capability across the organisation.
Requirements
- Accomplished leader with a strong track record of operating at a senior level in stakeholder engagement, communications, external affairs or a related discipline.
- Equally comfortable setting strategic direction and building relationships, influencing senior stakeholders and translating complex issues into clear, compelling messages.
- Experience of leading high-performing teams, delivering through collaboration and navigating change in a complex environment.
- Credibility, judgement and emotional intelligence to engage a wide range of audiences, build trust and help ensure that the voice of customers and stakeholders informs both decision-making and service delivery.
