About the Role

At easyJet, our Engineering and Maintenance team is all about pushing boundaries and keeping our fleet flying safely, efficiently, and on time. As a Deputy Duty Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of this fast-paced environment, supporting the Duty Engineer in leading the shift and keeping our aircraft in top condition. You’ll take charge whenever needed, stepping up to ensure that every maintenance activity, planned or unplanned, runs smoothly, meets the highest safety standards, and aligns perfectly with easyJet’s commitment to excellence.

From overseeing maintenance operations and issuing release certificates to making sure every component fitted to our aircraft is approved and properly documented, you’ll play a hands-on role in keeping Europe’s most reliable fleet ready for take-off. You’ll also be a key part of the team dynamic, helping manage and motivate engineers to deliver outstanding performance while keeping operations on track.

Every shift brings something new, you’ll monitor work progress, troubleshoot any technical or scheduling issues, and make sure every handover is seamless. It’s a role that keeps you right at the centre of the action, ensuring our aircraft depart safely, on time, and in peak condition, day after day.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
