Through high-quality journalism, expert analysis, exclusive interviews, features, podcasts, newsletters and industry-leading events, PMW delivers authoritative content that keeps its audience informed about the latest trends, challenges and innovations shaping the industry.

As part of Haymarket Media Group, the editorial team works collaboratively with colleagues across content, events, marketing and commercial functions to produce engaging, insightful and audience-focused journalism across multiple platforms. Together, they play a key role in maintaining PMW's reputation as a trusted voice within the performance marketing community while supporting the continued growth of the PMW and Unlocked brands.

The Role

The Deputy Editor plays a key role in shaping the editorial direction and day-to-day delivery of Performance Marketing World (PMW). Working closely with the Editor, the role is responsible for planning, commissioning, editing and producing high-quality, audience-focused journalism across multiple platforms, ensuring content is engaging, accurate and aligned with PMW's editorial standards and strategic objectives.

As the operational lead for the daily editorial output, the Deputy Editor supports the delivery of PMW's audience growth and subscriber engagement ambitions while contributing to the development of long-term editorial initiatives, including original investigations, proprietary research and data-led content. The role also works collaboratively with colleagues across editorial, events, marketing and commercial teams to maximise the reach and impact of PMW's content.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced editor looking to take the next step towards leading a media brand. The successful candidate will bring outstanding editorial judgement, strong leadership and communication skills, a digital-first mindset and a passion for creating high-quality content across a range of formats, including written articles, newsletters, podcasts, webinars, video and live events.

Key Relationships

The Deputy Editor works closely with the Editor and collaborates with colleagues across editorial, design, marketing, events and commercial teams to deliver high-quality, audience-focused content. The role also builds and maintains strong relationships with freelance contributors, industry contacts and external stakeholders to support the development of authoritative and engaging editorial content.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
