The Role
The Main Duties And Responsibilities Of This Role Include
- Line manage designated members of the Estates team and oversee Estates administration as required.
- Provide day-to-day operational leadership across estates and facilities services, including effective coordination of College events and facilities lettings.
- Manage planned maintenance and statutory servicing programmes, prioritising work, obtaining quotations, scheduling contractors and maintaining appropriate records.
- Support health and safety compliance, including policies, risk assessments, training and contractor documentation, with advice from external specialists where required.
- Manage key contracts and procurement activity, ensuring compliance, service quality and value for money.

The Successful Candidate
Cardinal Newman College is a wonderful place to work, and this is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and reliable candidate to join our Estates department.
The Estates department is looking for someone who holds GCSE grade 4/C or above, or equivalent, in English and mathematics, and has experience in facilities, estates or property management. The successful candidate will be flexible, proactive and willing to work outside normal working hours on occasion.

Terms and Conditions
Hours: 37 hours per week, full year. Starting and finishing times as agreed.
Salary: The post will be paid on the Sixth Form Colleges’ Support Staff Pay Spine at points 23 to 26 - pro rata to £41,019 to £44,203 per annum. For an outstanding candidate the college will consider a 'golden hello' payment of up to 10% of the annual salary.
