Deputy Facilities Team Leader
Location: Quinton Depot, 3 Ridgeway, Quinton, Birmingham B32 1AF
Salary: £14.91 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours - 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday – Friday
About the Role
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Deputy Facilities Team Leader to join our National Highways Account. This role is based on site.
Amey provides comprehensive facilities and estate management services for National Highways, including maintenance, cleaning, and project management. We collaborate with clients, staff, and partners to ensure our 24/7 service maintains high standards with minimal disruption, keeping one of Europe's busiest road networks safe and operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Team Leader in the daily management of facilities operations and service delivery.
- Monitor and coordinate compliance activities, ensuring statutory and company requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate compliance records, certificates, audits, and associated documentation.
- Manage contractor relationships, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the required standard.
- Review contractor performance and ensure all contractor compliance documentation is up to date.
- Obtain, evaluate, and manage quotations from suppliers and contractors, ensuring best value and quality of service.
- Assist with budget control through effective quotation and contractor management.
- Act as a key user of the CAFM system, ensuring all jobs, assets, compliance records, and maintenance activities are accurately recorded.
- Monitor planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works through the CAFM system.
- Produce reports and management information from CAFM data to support operational decision-making.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates and ensuring service expectations are met.
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, compliance performance, and operational efficiency.
- Support the Team Leader in supervising staff and maintaining high standards of customer service.

What You Will Bring
- Proven experience within a facilities management environment.
- Strong understanding of compliance and statutory requirements.
- Experience managing contractors and supplier relationships.
- Experience obtaining and evaluating quotations.
- Proficient in the use of CAFM systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong organisational, administrative, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive and self-motivated.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Professional and customer-focused.
- Confident communicator with leadership potential.
- Able to build effective working relationships at all levels.
Requirements
This role will require a BPSS security clearance.
