Deputy Front of House Manager - Bettys Cafe Tearooms, York

An opportunity has arisen in our Front of House team and we are looking for someone to join us as our Deputy Front of House Manager at Bettys Cafe Tearooms in Bettys York.

About the Role

As a Deputy Front of House Manager you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of Waiter/Waitresses and Front of House Team Leaders to deliver a deliciously magical experience to every customer. You will report to the Front of House Manager and deputise for them in their absence.

This is a full time role working 37.5 hours over 5 days including working at least one day at the weekend every week. The normal shift length of 8.5 hours per day (no split shifts.) The start and finish times can vary depending on opening hours of the branch. As a Duty Manager you will be required to work some early mornings or later finishes including covering some of our evening dining shifts. About You

  • A background of working in and organising a busy cafe.
  • Experience in managing and motivating a team.
  • Knowledge of food safety and health and safety procedures.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
  • Ideally, previous experience of working to KPI’s such as labour budgets.
