What is the job?
At Cineworld, creating great cinema experiences starts with exceptional leadership. Our Deputy General Managers play a key role in bringing that to life, supporting the General Manager in leading the operation and developing a high-performing culture that enables teams to share joy through extraordinary experiences.
We're looking for a Deputy General Manager to join our Belfast cinema. Working closely with the General Manager and management team, you'll help deliver operational excellence across the site, ensuring every customer enjoys a welcoming, safe and memorable cinema experience.
Located within the Odyssey Centre in Belfast, our 13-screen cinema is one of the most exciting cinema destinations in the region. Alongside a Laser IMAX, 4DX, ScreenX and Dolby Atmos screens, the cinema also features a Café Bar serving Lavazza coffee along with a busy concession stand. Situated near the SSE Arena, Hollywood Bowl and W5, the cinema sits at the heart of one of Belfast's leading entertainment destinations.
This is a full-time position, working 39 hours across 5 days. Evenings and weekends are the peak trading times, so broad availability is essential.

What will you be doing?
- Support the General Manager in the day-to-day leadership and operational running of the cinema, deputising when required.
- Lead, coach and develop managers, team leaders and team members to create a high-performing and engaged team.
- Take ownership of recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management across the cinema.
- Drive exceptional customer experiences by empowering teams to resolve issues, deliver great service and continually raise standards.
- Ensure the cinema operates safely, efficiently and in line with all company policies, procedures and health & safety requirements.
- Monitor commercial performance, identify opportunities to improve results and support the delivery of business objectives.

About you
- You have experience managing people and operations within a customer-focused environment such as hospitality, leisure, retail, entertainment or a similar fast-paced industry.
- You can motivate, develop and coach teams to achieve high standards of performance and customer service.
- You are comfortable managing recruitment, people development, employee relations matters and performance conversations.
- You are commercially aware and can balance customer experience, operational priorities and business performance.
- You are organised, adaptable and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-moving environment.
- You are flexible to work evenings, weekends and other key trading periods in line with business needs.
