Are you an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor looking for your next opportunity? Do you have a great eye for detail and enjoy supporting and developing a team?

We’re looking for a Deputy Head Housekeeper to join the team at De Vere Tortwrorth Court, a 201 bedroom hotel located in Wotton Under Edge.

As our Deputy Head Housekeeper you’ll work closely with the Head Housekeeper to support the day-to-day running of the Housekeeping department, helping to ensure our bedrooms and public areas are beautifully presented and consistently meet our high standards.

You’ll lead by example, supporting and guiding the team while helping to organise daily allocations, rotas, stock and linen. By building genuine relationships with your colleagues, you’ll help create a warm environment where everyone feels appreciated and takes pride in their work.

In the absence of the Head Housekeeper, you’ll take responsibility for the department, ensuring the team is supported and our housekeeping and guest service standards are maintained.

Your Skills & Experience

  • You’ll have previous experience in a Housekeeping Supervisor, Deputy Head Housekeeper or similar role within a hotel environment.
  • You’ll have a great eye for detail, helping to ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation are maintained throughout the hotel.
  • You’ll be a confident and supportive team leader, with strong communication skills and the ability to bring out the best in your colleagues.
  • You’ll be well organised, with good time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks around the changing needs of the hotel.
  • You’ll be comfortable supporting with rotas, stock management and day-to-day administration, and confident taking responsibility for the department when the Head Housekeeper is away.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
