All About You

Do you have what it takes to join us? The Deputy Head of Department we would like to join us will:

  • Help the Head of Department to raise standards of student attainment and achievement within the whole department area and to monitor and support student progress.
  • Assist the Head of Department to be accountable for student progress and development within the subject(s).
  • Deputise for the Head of Department.
  • Support the development and enhancement of teaching practice throughout the department.
  • Support the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students studying in the department, and ensure student provision in subject, in accordance with the aims of the school and the curricular policies determined by the Governing Body and the Leadership Team.
  • Support the leadership, management and development of the Department.
  • Support the Head of Department to manage and deploy department teaching/support staff, financial and physical resources within the department and to support the designated department portfolio.
