As Deputy to the Energy Management UK CIO, your UK-focused role will be pivotal in shaping and executing locally the technology strategy of S&EM and ENGIE Group. You will lead initiatives focused on AI-driven innovation, data transformation, and digital enablement across trading, risk, and operations.
Acting as a strategic advisor and operational leader on the BP UK, you will ensure that technology capabilities are aligned with the fast-paced demands of energy markets and regulatory environments.

Summary Of What You Will Do
- Co-develop and execute the IT strategy for EM UK, focusing on AI, data analytics, and digital transformation
- Lead enterprise-wide data strategy initiatives, including governance, architecture, and quality
- Oversee the development and deployment of AI within the UK IS team
- Ensure robust, scalable, and secure IT operations across trading platforms and market data systems
- Act as a strategic advisor on the BP UK, aligning technology capabilities with energy market demands
- Drive automation and efficiency in IT service delivery and support
- Manage relationships with vendors, exchanges, and technology partners
- Lead IT governance initiatives, including architecture reviews and investment prioritisation

What You Will Bring To The Role
- Proven experience in senior IT leadership roles within energy trading, financial services, or commodity markets
- Deep understanding of trading systems, market data, and risk platforms
- Solid exposure to AI/ML deployment, data engineering, and cloud transformation
- Experience with regulatory compliance and cybersecurity in trading environments
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to delivery
- Strong business acumen and understanding of energy markets
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Passion for innovation and emerging technologies
