Deputy Head of Finance

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Finance team at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust for a Deputy Head of Finance. The role will be responsible for providing financial support and business partnering and will be based at Lichfield Lane, Mansfield.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, finance professional playing a key role in shaping what our service delivery looks like, making a difference in the challenging financial environment, both now and in the future.

We need a team player, who is proactive, resilient, and driven to succeed, with a real commitment to work as part of the team taking the finance function forward and making a difference to our patient population. Responsibilities

  • Providing financial and business advice and information in support of the Care Groups senior leadership team.
  • Responsible for the provision of a business orientated management accounts service to a wide range of budget holders and services. Working closely with the operational teams you will support the objectives of the Trust including ensuring value for money, establishing financial planning, monthly reporting, forecasting, benchmarking and to identify and discuss with managers where savings and efficiencies can be made to enable more effective use of resources. To analyse the financial position and provide analysis to the key stakeholders of the Care Group.
  • Participate in improving systems or structures within the finance department. Develop changes to business-wide structures and detailed and accurate reports from General Ledger and other highly complex IT systems.
