Deputy Head of UK Information Systems

We are supporting a leading global energy and commodities organisation with the appointment of a Deputy Head of UK Information Systems.
This is a senior technology leadership role supporting the UK CIO, with a focus on AI, data transformation, digital enablement and technology strategy across trading, risk and operational environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the CIO in developing and executing the UK technology strategy.
- Lead AI, data and digital transformation initiatives.
- Drive data strategy, governance, architecture and quality.
- Oversee secure, scalable IT operations across trading and market data platforms.
- Manage senior stakeholders, technology partners and vendors.
- Lead IT governance, cybersecurity, risk and regulatory initiatives.
- Mentor senior technology leaders and drive a culture of innovation.

Experience Required

- Senior IT leadership experience within energy trading, commodities or similar environments.
- Strong understanding of trading systems, market data and risk platforms.
- Experience across AI/ML, data engineering and cloud transformation.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, governance and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent senior stakeholder and leadership skills.
- Degree/Master's in Computer Science, Engineering or related field preferred.
