This post is a Secondment for 11 months to cover Maternity Leave.

An exciting opportunity to develop your management skills has arisen in this temporary post to cover Maternity leave for a period of 11 months as Deputy Head of Site.
The role ensures the day to day management of the Clinical site management team and the discharge lounge within Ysbyty Gwynedd to ensure consistent patient flow throughout the hospital utilising the Right Patient Right Place dashboard and supporting the Head of Site in the day to day management of the acute hospital site, liaising with all departments to ensure smooth operation of services.
Main duties of the job
- Management of rosters and HR of the clinical site and discharge lounge teams.
- Liaison with all clinical and none clinical teams across the YG site.
- Management of flow related datix.
- Liaison with IP and facilities to ensure timely HLD cleans are performed across the site.
- Attendance and presentation of YG data on the System Tactical call.
- Review and presentation of the hospital weekend plan.
- Deputising for the Head of Site to ensure YG representation in BCU meeting as well as chairing meetings e.g. Health and Safety, Business Continuity etc.

Essential Criteria
- Significant experience working as a B7 site manager
- Major incident training
- Awareness of Code Pink, missing patient procedures
- Significant experience qualified as RN
- Awareness of patient flow pathways
Desirable criteria
- HR policy awareness
- Awareness of Health and safety agenda
- Experience of working with wider teams
- Awareness of Discharge Lounge protocols and pathways
- Budget management experience
