Blackburn Rovers Community Trust (BRCT) is the award-winning charitable arm of Blackburn Rovers FC, committed to using the power of football and sport for positive social change. We are looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and dynamic leader to support our Head of Health and Wellbeing.
Overall Purpose of the Role:
The Deputy Head of Wellbeing & Targeted Services will play a key leadership role within BRCT supporting the strategic and operational objectives of the wellbeing and targeted services. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring continuity of leadership and decision-making across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Lead and inspire the Wellbeing and Targeted Senior Officers and Coordinators.
- Manage key projects and service areas on behalf of the Head of Health and Wellbeing.
- Ensure high standards of service delivery at the Community Wellbeing Hub.
- Develop and implement targeted services for vulnerable groups.

Operations:
- Deputise for the Head of Health and Wellbeing in all operational matters.
- Build partnerships across health, education, community, and statutory sectors.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and promote staff accountability.
Finance:
- Support budget management alongside the Head of Wellbeing and Targeted Services.
- Assist in identifying funding opportunities and contribute to funding applications.
Data, Insights, and Outcomes:
- Lead the monitoring and evaluation of community wellbeing programmes.
- Produce high-quality performance and impact reports for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with leadership to support new funding opportunities.
