They will be responsible for balancing clinical expertise with managerial responsibilities, ensuring appropriate staffing levels, efficient use of resources, and the timely provision of diagnostic imaging services.

In addition to management responsibilities, the Deputy Head of X-Ray will maintain a clinical role as a Diagnostic Radiographer, undertaking Digital Diagnostic Radiography (DDR) imaging and fluoroscopic procedures to support service delivery and maintain clinical credibility.

The role includes limited out-of-hours working and requires a significant on-site presence within the department throughout the working week. Flexible working arrangements may include the opportunity to work from home for up to one day per week, subject to service requirements.

The post holder will actively participate in collaborative working across the Norfolk and Waveney University Hospital Group and will be required to work across multiple sites as necessary to support the delivery of high-quality imaging services across the network.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
