Deputy Headteacher (Secondary)

Daventry, Northamptonshire
We are seeking an ambitious and talented Deputy Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who is passionate about improving outcomes, developing staff and ensuring every young person receives an exceptional education. Working closely with the Headteacher, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the academy and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Headteacher in leading the academy and delivering its vision, values and strategic priorities.
- Lead whole-school improvement initiatives to raise standards of teaching, learning and student achievement.
- Monitor and improve the quality of education through effective use of data, evaluation and intervention strategies.
- Lead, coach and develop staff, building leadership capacity and promoting professional growth.
- Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance, safeguarding and student wellbeing across the academy.

Qualifications and Skills
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree or equivalent qualification.
- Significant and successful leadership experience within a secondary school setting.
- A proven track record of raising standards and improving student outcomes.
- Experience of leading teaching and learning and developing staff through coaching and mentoring.
- Outstanding leadership, communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to inspire others and drive improvement.
Job Details
Full time, Permanent
Pay range: L18-L22
£81,457.00 - £89,842.00 Annually (FTE)
