The governors of Ormskirk Church of England Primary School are seeking to appoint a Deputy Headteacher from the 1st January 2027. This vacancy has arisen following the promotion of our current Deputy Headteacher to Headteacher, reflecting our strong commitment to leadership development and succession planning.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, driven, and experienced leader to take on the role of Deputy Headteacher at a warm, happy, and caring school with a distinctly Christian ethos.

About the Role

The role will be non-class based enabling the successful candidate to fully immerse themselves in a leadership role, but there will be a regular and varied teaching commitment across the school and key stages. We are dedicated to nurturing the whole child, and we pride ourselves on our high standards and quality care. We have experienced and dynamic staff who are well supported by the governors.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
