Bures Primary School is a lovely village school on the border between Essex and Suffolk. We are a one form entry primary school with approximately 150 children on roll. The children are delightful, parents supportive and the team fabulous. Our vision has been designed to be creative and ambitious to reflect our belief that we develop enthusiastic learners and celebrate their achievements, so they achieve incredible things. We ‘dare to dream big and embrace the adventure within’.
We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher who is:
- an outstanding teacher who can model an effective quality of education as this position has a teaching commitment
- a leader of education, with experience of leading Maths or English, who is committed to high achievement for our pupils and staff so that the children enjoy the very best education
- an experienced and caring leader with integrity, enthusiasm and courage, who can champion the high expectations of staff, parents and children
- a strategic thinker, with the vision and passion to drive forward our curriculum, ensuring the highest levels of teaching and learning
- an individual, who has a deep understanding of how to support pupils with a range of different needs and is committed to the principles of inclusive education to fulfil the teaching commitment
- a team player, with excellent interpersonal skills, who ensures everyone is included and supported and who is committed to preserving the school’s distinctively Christian vision and building links within the local Christian community
