About This Role

We are seeking an exceptional Deputy Headteacher to play a key role in the strategic leadership of our school. Working closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, you will help drive our vision, values and priorities, ensuring the highest standards of education, wellbeing and achievement for all students.
This is a significant leadership role with responsibility for supporting whole-school improvement, leading and developing staff, and promoting a culture of high expectations, collaboration and continuous improvement. You will work closely with students, staff, families and governors to ensure all members of our school community are supported to thrive.
The successful candidate will be a highly effective and inspirational leader with a proven track record of improving outcomes, building positive relationships and leading change. They will share our commitment to providing an inclusive, ambitious and nurturing environment where every student is valued, supported and empowered to achieve their full potential.
Vacancy Details
Melksham Oak Community School is a large, thriving 11-18 secondary school where students of all abilities, aptitudes and social backgrounds are nurtured, encouraged and challenged to achieve their best.
In our most recent Ofsted inspection, the school was rated GOOD in all areas—a testament to the dedication and passion of our entire team and school community.
We couldn’t do what we do without our amazing team of staff, including our Senior Leadership Team, which you would be part of as Deputy Headteacher. We are looking for an outstanding, capable and supportive leader to join our team committed to providing the highest standards of teaching and learning for our students.
