An exciting opportunity has arisen at Sacred Heart Primary School for a Deputy Head Teacher due to our wonderful Deputy Head Teacher securing her first Headship. We are looking for someone who will bring significant experience of school leadership who has the drive, energy, enthusiasm, and innovation to be a key member of the senior leadership team at our school.
The Governors wish to appoint a Deputy Head Teacher with a proven track record of excellent classroom practice who is child-centred and will support our school values and ethos. We also need an ambitious and energetic professional with experience of leading teams, monitoring teaching and learning, and experience of successfully leading whole school improvement and raising standards. Our school is committed to collaborative leadership with a relentless focus on school improvement. This is a very exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who can demonstrate impact in a senior role to join us as we continue our journey. Sacred Heart Primary School
Sacred Heart Primary School is a two form-entry primary school in Tipton for children from 3 to 11 years of age. Our vision is to develop young people who will have active and creative minds, a sense of understanding and compassion for others, and the courage to act on their beliefs. We stress the total development of each child: spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, emotional, cultural, and physical. We are a richly diverse community, and pride ourselves on our highly inclusive practice, endorsed by achieving the Sandwell Inclusion Quality Mark for the second time at the highest level (Enhanced level).
Role Requirements
We are looking to appoint a Deputy Head Teacher who:
- Has the strategic vision to motivate and inspire our learning community to educational excellence;
- Has a passion for teaching and learning, with high expectations of staff and students;
- Is willing to support every individual to fulfil their potential;
- Will drive continuous improvement, raising attainment and progress throughout the school;
- Is able to utilise and analyse data to inform strategy in school;
- Will work to improve student progress and close the gap between disadvantaged students and others;
- Will innovate, cultivate, and recognise outstanding teaching practice;
- Has excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills;
- Will lead and inspire good behaviour outcomes to enable learning;
- Will foster a positive and effective partnership between students, parents, and the community;
- Has a strong understanding of assessment, pupil progress, and effective school self-evaluation;
- Is committed to inclusion and ensuring that every child is able to flourish.
- Will work closely with the Head Teacher, Senior Leadership Team, and governing body.
- Has a good understanding of Opal and the opportunities this brings to our children.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak English is an essential requirement for this role.

Grade: Leadership Pay Range L11 - L15 - £66,638 - £73,105 per annum
