Location: The home is located in Lawrence Weston.


We are excited to advertise this new position within Belbrook - our Short Breaks Children's home for Disabled Children.


About the Role:

This role requires a person with a passion for supporting children with complex needs, and leadership skills to support its well-established residential team to provide high-quality care and support to children.

The role of the Deputy Manager will be to deputise for the Registered Manager (RM) in taking full responsibility for managing the home within the framework of current legislation. To ensure the delivery of a high-quality residential service for disabled children within the overall policy of the Department (as defined by the National Care Standards Commission - minimum standards for Children’s Homes).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deputise for the Registered Manager in managing the home.
  • Ensure the delivery of a high-quality residential service for disabled children.
  • Create a warm, fun, caring home environment.
  • Ensure children’s voices, opinions, and feelings are heard and advocate for the children.
  • Support each child individually by tailoring their support and care.
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary service, collaborating with social workers, Occupational Therapists, Education provisions, parents, and carers.
  • Work shifts, including weekends (fortnightly), sleep ins, and evening shifts.
