Deputy Hotel Operations Director

As we continue to grow, we are now strengthening our Hotel Operations team with a Deputy Hotel Operations Director based ideally in UK or European location.
Main Tasks & Activities
Reporting
- To report to the Hotel Operations Director at regular intervals on all matters relating to the Hotel Operation on-board vessels and shore side
Shore side Responsibilities
- Constant support to monitor the quality of concession services and where possible exceeding revenue targets, in liaison with the Guest and Revenue Manager
- Collaborate with shore and ship side departments on initiatives to ensure that all company communications are to the highest of standards expected.
- Implementing annual incentive schemes within areas of responsibility and provide regular updates on variance and recommended actions to be taken to reduce costs and increase profitability.
- Work alongside the Procurement Manager to drive new product initiatives within all Hotel Areas.
- Oversee budgets across all hotel operations and ensure adherence whilst identifying any areas of improvement.
- To work closely with the Public Health Manager and ensure that all ships in the fleet operate to Company Standards and comply with all regulations across all areas including US Public Health and Canadian Public Health.
- Liaise with the Hotel Operations Director for any additional tasks at regular intervals.

Shipside Activities
- Key responsibility for the Food, Beverage and Revenue departments within the on-board Hotel Operation.
- Regular review of company training manual (SMS and SOP) and a key role in implementing positive changes in hotel operations
- Conduct weekly reviews with all Hotel Directors to assess performance of operations and develop action plans to address challenges and improve guest ratings
- Working closely alongside the on-board Hotel Directors to create, manage and develop on-board guest services and amenities throughout the fleet to exceed guest satisfaction.
- Conduct periodic inspections on brand standards and hotel procedures across the fleet to ensure operational compliance and ensure any outdated or redundant are placed under review.
- Work with Hotel Directors and Department Heads on board to ensure that all job descriptions are in place and being followed.
- Oversee all Guest feedback, including Electronic surveys, ensuring results and other data are processed and distributed accordingly with any necessary actions implemented.
- Work alongside the Inventory Controllers to ensure that shipboard inventories are maintained according to the par levels established.
Safety & Quality Management (SQM) Policy Administration
- Working together with HSSEQ team and senior leadership in the management of SQM content, ensuring that all Hotel Operations documentation is kept up to date and relevant, and all redundant information updated.
Project Work
- Special project assignments as assigned by the Hotel Operations Director.
- On board analysis of operational improvements that can be actioned to improve efficiency, guest satisfaction, crew wellness and financial maximization.
Other Duties
- The post-holder will be required to undertake such duties as may reasonably be expected. All members of staff are expected to be professional, co-operative and flexible within the needs of the post, department and our Company.
- Duties of the post could vary from time to time as a result of new legislation, changes in technology or policy. In the event, appropriate training will be provided.
- To be familiar with the company’s Safety and Quality Management Systems.
- To be part of the company’s Emergency Response Plan.
- Agree to undertake training appropriate to the role, as required.
