We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Deputy Residential Manager to support the Residential Manager in the day-to-day operation of our long-term residential bungalow.

This is a rewarding leadership role for someone who is passionate about delivering outstanding person-centred care, supporting residents to live as independently as possible, and leading a dedicated team to achieve the highest standards of support and wellbeing.

As Deputy Residential Manager, you will deputise for the Residential Manager in their absence and act as the most senior person on duty during designated evenings and weekends. You will play a key role in ensuring the bungalow operates effectively, safely, and in line with regulatory and organisational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Residential Manager in the successful day-to-day management of the residence.
  • Deputise for the Residential Manager during periods of absence.
  • Provide effective leadership and supervision to Lead Facilitators, Facilitators and Housekeeping staff.
  • Ensure the service is appropriately staffed and operates efficiently whilst meeting residents' individual needs.
  • Maintain high standards of care through assessment, care planning, monitoring, review and quality assurance activities.
  • Support residents to achieve personal goals, build independence and maximise their quality of life.
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals, therapists, families and external agencies to ensure coordinated support.
  • Ensure residents' health, safety and wellbeing are maintained through effective risk assessment and management.
  • Monitor, review and maintain accurate care records and documentation.
  • Promote positive behaviour and work collaboratively with relevant professionals to address concerns when they arise.
  • Support residents to engage in community activities, develop social connections and maintain active lifestyles.
  • Conduct supervision sessions, appraisals and performance discussions with team members.
  • Support recruitment, induction, training and development of staff.
  • Ensure all staff complete mandatory and role-specific training requirements.
  • Contribute to quality assurance processes and continuous service improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with pre-admission assessments for prospective residents.
  • Administer medication and provide personal care when appropriately trained and required.
  • Promote equality, diversity, inclusion and dignity within all aspects of service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and organisational policies and procedures.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
