Deputy General Manager – Hawksmoor Air Street
We're looking for an exceptional Deputy General Manager to play a pivotal leadership role at one of our highest volume restaurants. This is a senior position sitting just below the General Manager and we'd love to hear from General Managers who have managed large teams and controlled huge sales all whilst delivering world class service.
As Deputy GM, you'll be a true partner in running the restaurant: owning the guest experience, leading the team day-to-day, driving commercial performance, and stepping up to lead the site when needed. This is a hands-on role with real scope you'll be a visible leader, setting the tone, developing future leaders, and making sure Hawksmoor standards are delivered every single day.
Work somewhere awesome
Since 2006, Hawksmoor has been the UK's home of ethically sourced, grass-fed beef, cooked simply over charcoal and paired with award-winning wines and cocktails. We became a certified B Corp in 2022 and are the only restaurant group in the UK to feature in the Best Companies list for 13 consecutive years. Alongside raising over £1m for Action Against Hunger and being rated one of the most sustainable restaurant groups in the country, we're proud to be known as one of the happiest places to work in hospitality.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
