Deputy Manager Residential Care
Ribchester, Lancashire
£18.00 per hour
Full time 40 hours per week | Temp to Perm
Meridian Business Support are recruiting on behalf of a specialist residential care provider for a Deputy Manager to join a service in Ribchester on a temp to perm basis. This is a hands-on leadership role offering stability, development and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.
This role would suit an experienced Senior Support Worker, Team Leader or Assistant Manager looking to step up into a Deputy Manager position with structured training and long-term progression.
About the role
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Home Manager and take responsibility for the service in their absence:
- Lead, support and motivate a team of care staff on a daily basis
- Oversee the running of the service and ensure high standards of care and safeguarding are maintained
- Supervise, coach and develop staff through appraisals and performance management
- Monitor quality of care and drive continuous improvement across the service
- Support with staffing, budgets, resources and maintaining a safe environment
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory standards

Skills and experience
We are looking for a confident and professional care leader:
- Experience in a residential care, childrens services or similar setting in a senior or supervisory role
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, compliance and care standards
- Ability to lead, develop and manage a team effectively
- Organised, proactive and able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management
