Deputy Manager - Make a Real Difference Every Day

40 hours per week | 8am-8pm shifts | Every other weekend included

About Our Home Casarita

Our service is home to seven incredible people, with four people living in their own individual flats and three people sharing a house. We support adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex health needs.

Every person we support has their own goals, interests, dreams, and aspirations. We want someone who is genuinely excited about helping people discover new opportunities, build confidence, develop independence, and achieve things they may never have thought possible.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

  • A Full UK driving license.
  • A minimum NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
  • Experience as a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader or Deputy Manager within adult social care.
  • Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and autistic people.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, CQC regulations and person centered care.
  • Experience completing care plans and risk assessments.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and digital care systems.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

What You'll Be Doing

As Deputy Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of the service by:

  • Leading, motivating, and developing a team that delivers exceptional person-centred support.
  • Supporting colleagues through supervisions, coaching, competency assessments, and observations.
  • Completing and reviewing person centered support plans and risk assessments.
  • Ensuring high-quality documentation and accurate record keeping.
  • Promoting safeguarding and ensuring CQC standards are consistently met.
  • Investigating complaints and safeguarding concerns where required.
  • Building and maintaining positive, collaborative relationships with families, healthcare professionals and external partners to ensure person centered support that enables people to achieve their goals.
  • Supporting quality assurance and continuous service improvement.
  • Providing hands-on support when needed and leading by example.
  • Participating in the on-call rota.
  • Working alongside the Registered Manager to continue driving the service forward.

Knowledge of Makaton would be highly desirable, although we're equally keen to hear from people who are enthusiastic about learning.
