Role Description
The Deputy Manager supports the General Manager in the overall leadership and commercial performance of the store. Acting as the second-in-command, the Deputy Manager ensures smooth day to day store operations, strong team performance, and delivery of the Designer Exchange client experience.
This role plays a key part in supporting sales performance, developing the store team, and maintaining operational standards. The Deputy Manager leads by example on the shopfloor, driving client engagement, supporting buying activity, and ensuring alignment between store teams and operational functions.

In the absence of the General Manager, the Deputy Manager assumes responsibility for the day to day management of the store.
Role Overview & Key Responsibilities
- Drive Commercial Growth: Partner with the General Manager to hit key retail metrics (Sales, Conversion, ATV, UPT, and Client Capture).
- Champion Shopfloor Leadership: Lead by example to deliver a premium luxury client experience, foster clienteling, and maintain high visual merchandising standards.
- Team Coaching & Development: Onboard, train, and mentor staff, driving performance while maintaining a positive, accountable team culture.
- Bridge Buying & Retail: Work closely with the buying team, sharing customer trends and product demand insights to optimize stock flow and sales.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain strict policy compliance, streamline daily store processes, optimize inventory control, and enforce loss prevention.

What Success Looks Like (KPIs)
- Achieving store revenue, conversion, and basket size targets.
- Driving client engagement, loyalty, and brand representation.
