Residential Deputy Manager at Forest View

Location: Forest View, Southway, Burgess Hill RH15 9SU

Salary: £42,598.74 per annum

Hours: 37hrs per week (split between 19hrs office based and 18hrs on floor)

We're looking for an experienced and compassionate Residential Deputy Manager to join our team at Forest View. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Registered Manager to lead a dedicated team and make a genuine difference to the lives of our Service users every single day.

Forest View is a welcoming 60-bed residential care home providing high-quality care and support for older people, including those living with dementia.

The Role

As Residential Deputy Manager, you'll play a key leadership role in the successful day-to-day running of the home, supporting the Registered Manager to deliver exceptional care, develop high-performing teams and ensure residents receive the very best support.

You'll lead by example, promote a culture of kindness and respect, and help create a home where residents, families and colleagues all feel valued.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the day-to-day leadership and management of the home.
  • Leading, motivating and mentoring care teams to deliver outstanding person-centred care.
  • Developing, reviewing and monitoring personalised care plans.
  • Ensuring compliance with CQC/CIW regulations, safeguarding and best practice.
  • Supporting recruitment, supervision, coaching and staff development.
  • Driving continuous improvement through quality assurance and clinical governance.
  • Building positive relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals.
  • Maintaining a safe, welcoming and well-managed home environment.

The Ideal Candidate

  • QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or above).
  • Previous experience in a Deputy Manager or senior leadership role within residential care.
  • Experience supporting older people, including those living with dementia.
  • Strong knowledge of person-centred care and current CQC/CIW standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
