Role Description
The Deputy Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Springfield Care Home in Coppull. This role supports the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high standards of care, safety, and compliance with relevant regulations.

- Overseeing care planning
- Monitoring resident well-being
- Coordinating with healthcare professionals and families
- Leading, mentoring, and supporting care staff
- Assisting with rota management
- Contributing to training and performance reviews
- Handling admissions
- Supporting quality improvement initiatives
- Managing incident reporting
- Helping maintain a welcoming, person-centred environment
Qualifications
- Experience in residential or nursing care settings, with strong understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding.
- Leadership and team management skills, including staff supervision, coaching, and performance monitoring.
- Organizational and administrative abilities, such as rota planning, documentation, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, colleagues, and external professionals.
- Relevant health and social care qualification (e.g., NVQ/QCF Level 5 Health and Social Care)
- Knowledge of care home policies, CQC or equivalent regulatory requirements, and quality improvement practices.
- Ability to work flexibly across shifts, respond to emergencies, and support a safe, inclusive environment.
- Previous experience in a deputy manager role (e.g., Team Leader, or Deputy Manager) is highly beneficial.
