Role Description
The Deputy Manager Operations is a full-time, hybrid role based in Greater London, with some flexibility for work from home. The role supports the Operations Manager in overseeing day-to-day care service delivery, ensuring that staff schedules, client visits, and compliance processes run efficiently and in line with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

- Supervising and mentoring care staff
- Monitoring service quality
- Handling escalated client queries or concerns
- Supporting audits and inspections
- Implementing operational policies
- Contributing to performance reporting
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the service
- Collaborating with partners, internal teams, and external stakeholders to maintain high care standards and uphold Avant’s values
Qualifications
- Experience as a Registered Manager in care operations or homecare management, including staff supervision and rota/scheduling management.
- Strong skills in operational planning, process improvement, and service quality monitoring.
- Knowledge of UK health and social care regulations, safeguarding practices, and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in using office and care management software for reporting, documentation, and communication.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills with clients, staff, and partners.
- Proven ability to prioritize, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced service environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to person-centered care and alignment with Avant’s values of accountability, nurturing, and trustworthiness.
- Previous experience in a Registered Manager role in homecare or social care is essential.
- Relevant professional qualification in health and social care or management (e.g., NVQ/QCF Level 5 or above, or equivalent) preferred.
