The Firs Residential Home in Budleigh Salterton is looking for a passionate Deputy Manager to join our excellent team.
Summary Of The Role
As Deputy Manager, you’ll be the Manager’s right hand, supporting the day-to-day running of the home and leading by example on the floor. You’ll help guide the team to deliver the very best standards of care, while bringing kindness, passion, and a positive approach to everything you do. In the Manager’s absence, you’ll step confidently into their role, ensuring the smooth running of the home and the wellbeing of residents and staff alike. The role combines administrative responsibilities with active, hands-on support on the floor alongside the team.

About You
- NVQ 3 is required (NVQ 5 or equivalent preferred).
- Excellent, up-to-date knowledge of CQC requirements.
- Kind, caring, and passionate about delivering high-quality care.
- Confident and capable of running the home in the Manager’s absence.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Organised with excellent administrative and paperwork skills.
- Approachable with strong communication skills.
- Able to work 1-2 weekends per month and share the on-call with the management team.

Salary: From £16.00 – £18.00 per hour
