We are currently seeking 2 passionate, motivated and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager for initial 1 year contract to cover Maternity Leave.
These are exciting opportunities to play a key leadership role in a warm, welcoming and community-focused early years setting in Portswood and Titchfield.
As our Deputy Nursery Manager, you will support the Nursery Manager with the effective daily running of the nursery, ensuring that all children receive high-quality education, care and play opportunities. You will be a positive role model to the staff team, uphold Hopscotch’s high standards, and ensure the nursery remains fully compliant with the EYFS, Ofsted and all statutory requirements.

This role requires strong safeguarding knowledge, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to support a busy, vibrant early years environment.
In this role you need to have:
- Experience of working in a fast-paced nursery environment.
- Level 3 Early Years qualification or higher (Essential)
- A positive role model to staff and children
- Knowledge of safeguarding and the DSL role.
- Up-to-date knowledge of EYFS
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- IT skills to use Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Previous experience with Famly, childcare platform (desirable)

Job Details:
- Full Time - Monday to Friday
- Starting Salary - £34,715.20
- Start Date - November 2026
