About The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Deputy Nursery Manager to join a welcoming and supportive early years setting in Roehampton.
The Deputy Nursery Manager will work closely with the Nursery Manager to support the effective day-to-day running of the setting, ensuring that children receive the highest standards of care, education, and support in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced early years professional who is ready to take the next step in their leadership career and play a key role in supporting both children and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Nursery Manager with the effective day-to-day operation of the nursery.
- Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, compliance, and EYFS practice are maintained.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursery staff, acting as a positive role model.
- Encourage staff development and promote a strong culture of teamwork and professional growth.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with parents and carers.
- Ensure effective communication with families, providing a welcoming and supportive experience.
- Support the implementation of policies and procedures across the setting.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the nursery.
- Help ensure the nursery operates efficiently and continues to provide high-quality early years provision.

About The Ideal Candidate
The successful Deputy Nursery Manager will have a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and previous experience within an early years setting, ideally with leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
The Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate
- A recognised Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
- Previous experience within an early years setting, with leadership experience highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to lead, motivate, and support a team.
- A genuine passion for providing outstanding care and education to young children.
- A positive, proactive, and professional approach.
- The confidence to work alongside the Nursery Manager and take responsibility when required.
