💷 Salary: £33,000 per year
🕘 Hours: 40 hours per week

The Role
As our Deputy Nursery Manager, you’ll work alongside the Nursery Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our beautiful Wakefield nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, education and customer service are delivered every day.
You’ll Have The Opportunity To
- Support the Nursery Manager in leading the daily operations of the nursery.
- Deliver outstanding care and learning experiences that enable every child to thrive.
- Lead, support and develop a passionate team through coaching, training and reflective practice.
- Help create exciting extracurricular experiences including forest school, music, dance, languages, cooking, woodwork and sports activities.
- Build positive relationships with children, families and the wider community.
- Support occupancy growth through marketing, community engagement and nursery events.
- Assist with budgets, resources and maintaining exceptional learning environments.
- Ensure full compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, SEND, health & safety and Ofsted requirements.
- Maintain accurate records using Famly and Microsoft Office systems.
- Help create inspiring, welcoming and aesthetically engaging learning environments.

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who brings enthusiasm, creativity and a genuine passion for giving children the very best start in life.
Essential
- Level 3 Childcare & Development qualification recognised by the Department for Education.
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience in an early years leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted requirements, safeguarding and early years legislation.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and digital nursery management systems.
- A commitment to delivering exceptional care, education and customer service.
Desirable
- Experience managing budgets and supporting nursery occupancy.
- Full UK driving licence.
- GCSE English (or equivalent) and Maths (or willingness to achieve if not already held).
