Deputy Nursery Manager
South Bermondsey, London | SE16
£39,075 | Full-Time, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday
We are supporting a UK-leading nursery and childcare provider in finding an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager. This group operates over 40 nurseries across London, all rated Ofsted Outstanding or Good, with a unique focus on positive social impact in the communities they serve.
The Deputy Manager role is generally 80% room based and 20% office based so you will need to remain passionate about being actively involved in day-to-day operations supporting your teams, as well as be confident and comfortable with supporting the Nursery Manager to manage, improve, and grow the nursery behind the scenes.
This is a bright, modern nursery, with separate rooms and gardens for different age groups where the experienced staff team plan each day with help from the children. There are lots of activities to choose from, including obstacle courses, cooking, gardening, modelling clay, painting, and dialogic reading. Families can join in the fun too, with days dedicated to cultures from around the world.

You will find the nursery in Bermondsey, not far from Bermondsey underground station and South Bermondsey railway station and Lynton Road bus stop on the 1, 381, and P12 bus routes.

You will need:
- Level 3 (or above) childcare qualification
- Experience managing or leading a room in an Early Years/Nursery setting
- Comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS Framework
- A track record of improving performance in a nursery room or setting
- Strong, nurturing relationships with children and parents
- A genuine passion for childcare and child development
