About the Role
We are currently seeking a dynamic gynaecology nurse to join and support leadership of Harbourside unit (outpatient procedural gynaecology unit).
Working Hours
- 36 hours per week, preferably made up of 4 long days (8:30-18:00)
- Some shifts may be early (8:30-13:30) or late (13:00-18:00) due to clinic cancellations
Clinics
- Colposcopy
- Hysteroscopy
- Menorrhagia
- Post-Menopausal Bleeding (PMB)
- Coil
- Vulval
- Urogynaecology
- Other specialist gynaecology clinics as required
Responsibilities

Work closely with the band 7 to lead the team

Additional Responsibilities
- Deputise to support the nursing team to deliver day-to-day activity across sites
- Complete rostering for staff and students
- Act as a role model and clinical expert working across all clinics (Colposcopy, Hysteroscopy, Menorrhagia, PMB) to provide safe, empathetic, and dignified outpatient care
- Provide support for staff to develop knowledge and skills within women’s health gynaecology
- Provide a safe pathway of care for patients, working clinically with other healthcare professionals to maintain and improve the patient experience
- Participate in the development, implementation, evaluation, and dissemination policies and pathways
Requirements
Informal visits are encouraged but not mandatory.
Please note: All staff being recruited are expected to be available to work flexibly across all our Trust locations when service demands require it.
