Umbrella Rate: £25.37 per hour umbrella
Summary
Assist in the management and administration of a new Children’s Home, ensuring it meets all regulatory standards and provides excellent care for vulnerable children and young people.
Responsibilities
- Ensure young people receive sensitive care that meets their social, medical, psychological, educational, cultural, and wellbeing needs.
- Empower young people to have a voice in their decisions and encourage independence.
- Build positive relationships with families and facilitate community integration using local facilities.
- Assist the manager in maintaining the professional competence of the staff team.
- Manage delegated budgets effectively and monitor the proper use of finances.
- Coordinate, attend, and chair meetings to promote inclusion and achieve care objectives.

Experience
- Proven senior-level experience working with young people within a residential childcare environment.
- Experience managing staff, planning/preparing reports, and undertaking assessments.
- Experience working with a Behaviour support model of care.
- Strong knowledge of child development, safeguarding practices, and budget monitoring.
- Working knowledge of The Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016.

Qualifications
- Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Children and Young People).
- Relevant qualification that meets the equivalent criteria for Social Care Wales registration.
Additional Information
- Hours per week: 37
- Enhanced DBS required.
- This is an Onsite role based in Cardiff.
- We work on a biweekly payment schedule.
