We are seeking either an Associate Director or an experienced Senior hire to support the successful delivery of major capital healthcare projects, ranging in value from £50m to over £1bn.
This is a key role within complex, high-profile programmes, where you will work closely with the Project Lead to drive delivery, manage stakeholders, and ensure projects meet strategic, operational, and clinical objectives. You will play a critical part in translating project vision into delivery, ensuring outcomes are achieved efficiently, safely, and in line with governance and regulatory standards.
Why apply?

- Opportunity to develop into senior leadership roles on major programmes.
- Contribute to projects that directly improve patient care and community outcomes.
Please Note: This role will be based in Plymouth and require 30% site attendance. Time on site will be expected to increase as the projects move from design to construction.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Supporting and deputising for the Project Lead across all aspects of delivery, including attendance at governance and management meetings.
- Assisting in delivering large-scale capital projects, managing programme, cost, risk, quality, and health and safety performance.
- Managing delegated workstreams, coordinating stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and subject matter experts to drive progress.
- Supporting development, assurance, and coordination of business cases and project documentation across all project stages.
- Producing and managing project controls, including programmes, budgets, cost forecasts, risk registers, and scope documentation.
- Coordinating and delivering clear, accurate reporting on project performance, including progress, risks, issues, and key decisions.
- Implementing and maintaining change control processes, ensuring robust audit trails and governance compliance.
- Supporting operational readiness planning, including clinical service transition, workforce deployment, and digital systems integration.
- Supporting the industrialisation of new hospital builds in a first-of-a-kind repeatable process implementation.
- Deploying your collaborative skills in one of the largest contractor alliances in the UK that will roll out in Q3 2026.
- Promoting collaboration, providing guidance to project teams, and driving continuous improvement through lessons learned and best practice.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
