MAKE STRATEGY A REALITY | ACCELERATE YOUR GROWTH | CHOOSE YOUR PATH

As the world's leading change and transformation consultancy, we're helping businesses move from strategy to reality by taking a pragmatic and practical approach to build solutions that last.

We're seeking a Deputy Project Manager to join North Highland as an affiliate supporting a government client to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact.

Summary

As a Deputy Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading the day-to-day operations of high-impact projects within our organization. You will drive meaningful change by designing, planning, and rolling out operational improvements into our live environment. Your work will directly support key stakeholder areas in adopting new ways of working, while maintaining rigorous oversight of project delivery through comprehensive monitoring, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. This position offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference in how we operate and serve our mission.

This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days on site in London and is scoped to last approx. 6 months. The role is inside IR35 and so will be (PAYE) payable via umbrella.

This role is also exempt from the rehabilitation of offenders act due to the nature of the role and organisation, so those who have convictions spent or otherwise would not be eligible for enhanced DBS.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
