Deputy Quality Control Manager

Due to continued expansion, iMed Healthcare is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Deputy Quality Control Manager to support the Quality Control Manager in the day-to-day management of our Quality Management System (QMS) at our Draperstown site. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining GMP compliance, supporting batch release activities, managing quality systems, conducting internal audits, and driving continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day operation of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Assist in managing:
    • Change Control
    • CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions)
    • Deviations
    • Internal Audits
    • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Maintain and monitor the Change Control system, ensuring timely implementation and closure.
  • Assist with raising and tracking CAPAs.
  • Maintain the deviation management system.
  • Participate in internal audits and support corrective actions.
  • Review batch documentation prior to Qualified Person (QP) review.
  • Liaise with QPs to resolve batch release queries.
  • Communicate with customers regarding priority tasks.
  • Deliver staff training where required.
  • Maintain employee training records.
  • Produce artwork based on customer mock-ups.
  • Participate in regulatory inspections when required.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience working within a Quality Management System.
  • Good knowledge of GMP and quality processes, including CAPA, Change Control, Deviations, Internal Auditing, and SOP management.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively across departments.
  • Competent in documentation review and record keeping.

Desirable Experience

  • Degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related Life Sciences subject).
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing or packaging environment.
  • Experience supporting regulatory inspections.
  • Experience working with Qualified Persons (QPs).
  • Training delivery experience.
  • Artwork or packaging documentation experience.
