Are you a dedicated and experienced professional committed to ensuring all students, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), receive an excellent education?

If so, Lift Kingsley is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and skilled Deputy SENDCO to join our dedicated team and work closely with the SENDCO to ensure our students receive high-quality, effective and inclusive support.
Key Responsibilities (in Collaboration With The SENDCO)
- Support the SEND team in developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating appropriate provision for students with SEND.
- Contribute to the writing, implementation, monitoring and review of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Support the identification of individual needs and explore opportunities to ensure provision is tailored to the needs of each student.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to identify and implement appropriate strategies and interventions.
- Monitor the progress and outcomes of students with SEND, supporting the SENDCO to ensure students make excellent progress.
- Build positive and effective relationships with students, parents/carers, colleagues and external professionals.
- Help create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive SEND Department environment.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of SEND provision across the school.
- Support the SENDCO in ensuring that SEND policies, procedures and statutory requirements are effectively implemented.

We Are Looking For
- Essential experience of working within a SEND department and a good understanding of SEND provision.
- A proven track record of achieving excellent progress and outcomes for young people, regardless of their prior attainment, needs or background.
- A strong commitment to inclusion and ensuring that every student has the opportunity to achieve their potential.
- The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals.
- Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach, with a commitment to continually improving provision for students with SEND.
- QTS is desirable but not essential.
