We're looking for an ambitious and experienced Deputy Service Manager to help lead our Newham service's and play a key role in shaping the future of recovery support across the borough.

As Deputy Service Manager, you'll work alongside the Service Manager to lead a high-performing multidisciplinary team, ensuring services are safe, effective and responsive to local need.

You'll help drive performance, develop people, strengthen partnerships and support service innovation—creating the conditions for both colleagues and service users to achieve their full potential.

This is an opportunity to influence beyond day-to-day operations and help shape how recovery services evolve within Newham.

Location: Newham
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Fixed Term 24 months from start date

Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

Who we're looking for

We're looking for a confident and capable leader who can balance strategic thinking with operational delivery.

You'll bring:

  • Experience leading teams within substance use, criminal justice, health, social care or related services
  • Strong operational management and performance improvement experience
  • The ability to analyse data and translate insight into action
  • Experience managing quality, governance and service improvement programmes
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills
  • The ability to inspire, motivate and develop others
  • Strong communication, influencing and decision-making skills

Salary Range (pro rata if part time)

CGL points 42 to 45 (£47,850.69 - £51,199.03)
ILW / OLW / Fringe
Inner London Weighting (£4,236.47)
