Make your work count

We are opening a new Rowcroft shop at Kings Ash Way in Paignton, next to Lidl, and we are looking for a supportive and collaborative Deputy Manager who wants to play their part in bringing this brand-new shop to life!

Our shops sit at the heart of their communities. They offer a warm welcome, a great shopping experience and an important way for local people to support Rowcroft. Every sale, donation and conversation helps us raise vital funds for people living with life-limiting illnesses and those closest to them across South Devon.

This is an opportunity to shape a new shop from the outset, supporting the Shop Manager to build a strong team of volunteers and create a place that customers want to visit again and again.

The role

You’ll help create an exceptional retail experience and a thriving, smooth-running operation that reinforces Rowcroft’s reputation in the local community, while playing an integral role in deputising for the Shop Manager. You’ll work with a team of committed volunteers, supported by the Shop Manager and our experienced central team, to create a friendly and welcoming environment and ensure we maximise our income on our donated and new goods.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
