This is an exciting opportunity to join POP MART ahead of the opening of a brand-new flagship store in London. Ahead of launch, the successful candidate will complete a training period of a few weeks at one of our existing stores to build hands-on experience with our systems, standards and team culture before helping to lead the new flagship from day one.

The Role and Candidate
The Flagship Deputy Store Manager supports the Flagship Store Manager in the overall leadership, performance and operational excellence of the company's flagship retail location, operating across a large, multi-level retail space. This is a hands-on role, working closely on the shop floor to drive sales, team performance, customer experience, visual merchandising, stock control and compliance, while deputising for the Flagship Store Manager in their absence.
The position requires an experienced and commercially minded retail leader who can take shared ownership of a large team within a high-traffic, high-volume environment. The Flagship Deputy Store Manager helps translate company strategy into daily execution, reinforcing brand standards and operational procedures on the floor and acting as a visible point of leadership for the team.
A key focus of this role is supporting the recruitment, development and motivation of a high-performing team, and role-modelling a positive, customer-centric culture that reflects the company's values. The Flagship Deputy Store Manager also works cross-functionally with internal departments and store leadership to support business goals, major activations and seasonal initiatives.
This position plays an important role in representing the brand at its most visible retail location, helping to set the benchmark for operational excellence, employee engagement and customer satisfaction across the store network.

Responsibilities
- Support the Flagship Store Manager in leading and motivating a team of 50+ employees, deputising for them and taking full accountability for the store in their absence.
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer issues or complaint.
- Lead from the shop floor, driving a dynamic, customer-centric culture that reflects the brand's values and enhances the in-store experience.
- Support the delivery of sales growth and ambitious targets while maintaining exceptional operational standards and KPIs.
- Take shared ownership of store operations, including workforce planning, inventory management, visual merchandising and overall store presentation.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, coaching and professional development initiatives to build a skilled and committed workforce.
- Help ensure flawless execution of seasonal launches, brand activations and flagship-specific promotional events.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with key departments to align store priorities with broader business objectives.
- Uphold strict compliance with health & safety, loss prevention and operational procedures in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage day-to-day issues such as scheduling, till discrepancies, incident reports and team concerns, escalating to the Flagship Store Manager where needed.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5+ years of proven experience managing and developing large retail teams within high-traffic, high-volume environments.
- Strong leadership, coaching and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a team from the shop floor.
- Commercially minded and results-driven, with a strong focus on achieving targets while maintaining operational excellence.
- Solid experience in scheduling, visual merchandising, performance management, reporting, recruitment and team coordination.
- Highly organised, adaptable and capable of thriving under pressure in a fast-paced flagship setting.
- Genuine passion for pop culture, collectibles, and delivering memorable customer experiences.
Desirable but Not Essential
- Knowledge of CEGID POS usage
- Experience in the toy or collectibles industry
- Multi-lingual language ability
