Join ProCook as a Deputy Store Manager and play a key role in leading our team at our Cabot Circus Store.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced retail or hospitality leader who's ready to make a real impact. Working alongside the Store Manager, you'll help create a positive, high-performing store environment where colleagues thrive, customers receive exceptional service, and commercial goals are consistently achieved.

As a visible and hands-on leader, you'll be at the heart of the action, motivating the team, driving performance, and ensuring every customer leaves inspired and ready to cook. You'll support day-to-day operations, champion our values and standards, and confidently step into the lead role whenever needed.

What you'll be doing:

No two days are the same at ProCook. As Deputy Store Manager, you'll help lead a busy retail environment by:

  • Supporting the Store Manager to inspire, coach, and develop a high-performing team
  • Delivering exceptional customer experiences that help build loyalty and drive sales
  • Leading from the shop floor, setting the pace and creating a positive atmosphere for both customers and colleagues
  • Driving commercial performance through strong KPI management and sales focus
  • Helping ensure excellent standards across merchandising, stock management, compliance, and store presentation
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, coaching and ongoing colleague development
  • Using sales and performance data to identify opportunities and improve results
  • Taking ownership of the store and leading the team in the Store Manager's absence
  • Supporting the delivery of operational excellence and ensuring the store runs smoothly every day

What you'll bring:

We're looking for a confident and enthusiastic leader who loves working with people and knows how to bring out the best in a team.

You'll be someone who enjoys being hands-on, leads by example, and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. You'll combine strong commercial awareness with a genuine passion for customer service, helping to create a store experience that keeps customers coming back.

You'll need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory, team leader or deputy management role
  • Previous experience in retail or hospitality
  • Strong people leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop others
  • Commercial awareness and confidence using sales and performance data to drive results
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to operational excellence
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences

This full-time role requires 40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis, including weekends. The schedule consists of one full weekend off, one weekend on, one Saturday off, and one Sunday off within a 4-week cycle.

As part of your onboarding, you’ll complete mandatory training including two days at our Store Support Centre in Gloucester and 4 weeks at one of our training stores. The timing and order of this training may vary.
