Join our friendly and professional Registration Service team as a Deputy Superintendent Registrar

This rewarding role involves supporting customers through important life events, from conducting marriages, civil partnerships and citizenship ceremonies, you will play an important part in providing a professional, compassionate and customer-focused service.

We are looking for an organised and personable individual with excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer service. This is a one-year maternity cover position, offered on a full-time basis, although alternative working hours will be considered for the right candidate.

The role

  • Processing administration and bookings for all register office functions
  • Ensuring the delivery of both statutory and non statutory services.
  • Attesting notices of marriage and civil partnership.
  • Conducting and registering marriage, civil partnership, and British citizenship ceremonies across the borough, in full compliance with legislative requirements and best practice standards.

We are ideally looking to offer the successful candidate the full number of hours advertised above. We may however consider offering less hours than advertised providing they meet the requirements of the role and service which will be determined by the recruiting manager.

The ideal candidate

  • Outstanding communication abilities across face to face, telephone, and online interactions.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively in a busy environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in every aspect of the role.
  • Proven administrative experience, ideally in a customer focused setting.
