Job Description

P&G is a leading company in the manufacture of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), making some of the world’s best-loved brands like Gillette, Fairy, and Oral B.

For 90 years, our Trafford Park site has been making products for families across the UK, and today it's the home of Pampers. Following significant new investment, we're growing our team and looking for an experienced leader with strong mechanical skills to join us as a Deputy Team Leader.

We are looking for skilled individuals with a proven track record of people and technical leadership in a fast-moving manufacturing environment to join us as Deputy Team Leaders.

What you'll do

  • Lead the production line team when the Team Leader is away, keeping performance safe, high-quality, and efficient.
  • Find and fix complex mechanical and process problems on high-speed production lines.
  • Support planned maintenance and breakdown repairs.
  • Coach and develop team members to build skills across the shift.
  • Work with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to improve line performance.
  • Make sure safety, quality, and operating standards are followed every shift.

Structured onboarding: You'll start on a days-based support team, learning our technology, systems, and leadership approach through hands-on problem-solving and maintenance work. Once you're signed off as fully qualified, you'll move onto shift and take on the full Deputy Team Leader role.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
