Your new role

Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role combines strong technical accounting knowledge with advanced data-handling and finance transformation experience. You will play a key role in supporting technical accounting matters, financial governance, process improvement, and reporting enhancement across a complex, multi-entity environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical accounting guidance across IFRS and UK GAAP matters.
  • Supporting the implementation of new accounting standards, policies, and reporting frameworks.
  • Leading or contributing to finance transformation projects focused on process redesign, controls, systems optimisation, and reporting improvement.
  • Managing, analysing, and interpreting large and complex financial datasets using advanced Excel, ERP systems, and reporting tools.
  • Delivering clear financial insights to support senior stakeholders and strategic decision-making.
  • Overseeing multi-entity reconciliations, balance sheet governance, and complex accounting issue resolution.
  • Driving continuous improvement across finance processes, reporting efficiency, and internal controls.
  • Supporting audit requirements, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance standards.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver accounting change programmes and embed best-practice finance processes.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will need strong technical accounting experience, ideally gained within a complex, multi-entity or international business. You will have excellent knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP, strong Excel and data analysis skills, and the ability to work confidently with large financial datasets. You will also need to be highly organised, detail-driven, and comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders. Experience in finance transformation, process improvement, systems optimisation, controls enhancement, or financial reporting change would be highly beneficial.
